Succulent Market is a third-generation cactus and succulent farm. Hans and Gretel Britsch, immigrants from Switzerland, began growing cactus and succulent plants in 1964. Motivated by an incredible passion for cactus and succulent plants, Hans and Gretel turned their hobby of growing cactus and succulents into a business.

Nico Britsch always shared his grandparent’s unique passion for cactus and succulent plants. From an early age, Nico curiously roamed the nursery fascinated by the unique shapes and colors of cactus and succulents. These unique shapes and colors were not the only thing Nico loved about cactus and succulents.

Nico has always been aware of the ways cactus and succulents are able to positively impact the way we live. Nico has personally witnessed and learned how cactus and succulent plants purify the air while simultaneously replicating a feeling of being out in nature. Nico became fascinated by how these positive aspects can benefit the way we breathe and our mental health.

Nico also noticed the positive reactions others would have when he would gift friends and teachers a cactus or succulent plant. Faces would beam with joy and amazement. Motivated by a desire to share both the happiness of delivering cactus and succulents, along with their positive living and health benefits, Nico launched Succulent Market in 2018.
